We are excited and appreciative that you have chosen to read our letter. We are Lisa and Bruce Hartley. We understand that you are about to make one of the most important decisions of your life. We admire your courage and determination. Our hearts will be with you as you prepare to find a loving family for your child.

We have been happily married for over 5 years and have always had a desire to become parents. We look forward to the day that we may experience the joy of raising and parenting a child. We feel that we have many wonderful things to offer our child: a loving and secure home, emotional and financial stability, a Christian environment and a child-friendly community.

We live in Cartersville, Georgia, approximately 50 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia. We enjoy being outside the bustle of the big city but having access to the arts, theater, and activities that Atlanta has to offer. We live in a lovely neighborhood only 2 miles from public and private schools. Our street is quiet and great for walking, bicycling, and rollerblading. We look forward to the day when we can stroll with our child on a cool evening with our loving Labrador Retriever, Abie along side of us!

Lisa grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Bruce was raised in Niagara Falls, New York. Lisa volunteers for children's organizations, church activities and assisted living centers for seniors. She will be able to be a full time, stay at home mother. Bruce works as an industrial mechanic for a large nationwide company. His schedule allows him flexible hours that will enable him to spend a lot of quality time with our family!

Lisa was adopted as an infant and was part of a "closed" adoption. It was very important to us when selecting adoption that we were able to have everything out in the open. We know firsthand how easy it is for adoptive parents to love and accept a child as their own. We want you to know that we encourage you to be involved (if you choose) with our child throughout his/her life.
